ZOI Supports Zigbee PRO 2023

The ZBOSS Open Initiative (ZOI), a community of companies with a goal of overcoming the challenges around interoperability, security, testing, and optimization of Zigbee®-enabled products and solutions.

DSR is expanding the ZBOSS Open Initiative (ZOI) offering its by now providing a stable, production-ready version of ZBOSS PRO 2023 SDK with Zigbee Direct. This version is now available to all members of ZOI in source code. A beta version of Zigbee Direct implementation is also available in source code. All new ZBOSS features were tested on SVEs.

ZOI now includes several new evaluation SDKs:
- ZBOSS SDK 4.1.0 for Network Simulator (certification-ready)
- ZBOSS SDK 4.1.0 for nRF52 with Zigbee Direct Device (ZDD) role (demo-quality
- ZBOSS Virtual Device 4.1.0 SDK for Linux (demo-quality)

Zigbee PRO 2023

Zigbee PRO 2023 adds a number of enhancement features that address modern-day security threats, including Device Interviews, Dynamic Link Key, Trust Center Swap Outs along with a number of other security enhancements. ZBOSS Zigbee PRO 2023 also supports Smart Energy Key Management, which enables Zigbee Devices and Zigbee Smart Energy devices to interact on the same network.

Zigbee Direct

With Zigbee Direct, users can now onboard and control Zigbee devices and networks directly from a Bluetooth Low Energy device without a need for a hub. Zigbee Direct makes Zigbee devices more accessible to users and other device ecosystems.
